    Dear Donors/Supporters,

We would like to share an important medical update regarding Thamizhainiya R., the 14-year-old government school student whose treatment you have been supporting.

After a detailed and careful medical evaluation, the doctors have found that her infection is still severe. Due to this condition, the medical team has advised that it is not safe to proceed with her heart surgery at this time.

Keeping Thamizhainiya’s health and safety as the top priority, the doctors have decided to postpone the surgery for six months. During this period, she will continue with prescribed medications and undergo regular follow-ups. Once the infection is fully controlled and her overall health improves, the doctors will reassess her condition and plan the surgery accordingly.

Though this delay is difficult, it is a necessary step to ensure a successful and safe surgery outcome. We sincerely thank you for your understanding, patience, and continued support for Thamizhainiya and her family.

You can continue to follow her campaign and updates through the link below:

We will keep you informed about her progress and the next steps as advised by the medical team.

Description

Dear Donors/Supporters,

At just 14, Thamizhainiya R. is a bright, kind-hearted schoolgirl who loves learning and dreams of building a better life for her family. A Class X student at a government school in Tamil Nadu, she has always been full of energy, eager to participate in every class and activity.

But her joyful life took a heartbreaking turn recently.During a routine school health screening camp organized by MIOT Hospitals, doctors noticed an unusual heart murmur. What was supposed to be a simple check-up became the beginning of a terrifying medical journey. Further tests confirmed the worst — Thamizhainiya has Rheumatic Heart Disease with Severe Mitral Regurgitation (NYHA Class II), a serious condition affecting the heart’s ability to pump blood efficiently.

Doctors have strongly advised urgent mitral valve repair surgery to prevent her condition from worsening. Without it, Thamizhainiya could face severe health complications that threaten her future — and even her life.

The surgery, scheduled at MIOT Hospitals, will cost Rs. 3,00,000, a sum her family simply cannot afford. Thamizhainiya’s father, Mr. Ramamoorthy, works as a daily wage laborer, earning just Rs. 400 a day when work is available. Her mother, Ms. Saraswathi, is a homemaker, and her elder brother, who works as an ambulance driver, is doing all he can to support the family. But their combined income isn’t nearly enough to cover the cost of such a major surgery.

They are doing everything possible to save their daughter, but now they need your help.Thamizhainiya’s life doesn’t need to end in pain. With your support, she can undergo the surgery, return to school, and continue dreaming about her future.
Your contribution, big or small, can help bring her back to health — and give her the chance every child deserves: a full, happy life.
