Meet Reethu — Bright, Joyful, and Brave

Reethu is just 10 years and 9 months old — a happy, playful girl who enjoys school and dreams of a bright future. But behind her cheerful smile is a heart that’s struggling to survive.

Born into a humble family that migrated from Rajasthan to Chennai for work, Reethu studies in Class 3 at a local government school. Her father works as a tile mason, earning around ₹700 per day — but only when work is available. Her mother is a homemaker. Despite financial hardship, the family has given Reethu a life filled with love and learning.

Now, their world has come to a standstill.

A Shocking Diagnosis — and an Urgent Need

Reethu was recently screened during a cardiac camp at Kilpauk Medical College Hospital, where doctors suspected a heart defect. Further evaluation at MIOT Hospitals confirmed devastating news:

Multiple Apical Muscular Ventricular Septal Defects (VSDs)

Severe Infundibular and Valvar Pulmonary Stenosis

Severe Right Ventricular Hypertrophy

Stretched PFO (Patent Foramen Ovale) with right-to-left shunting

To save her life, doctors have recommended Intracardiac Repair along with Partial Closure of the PFO — a complex and urgent surgical procedure. The total cost of this life-saving treatment is estimated at ₹3,50,000.
