Janani has now been admitted to the hospital to begin the required medical evaluations in preparation for her heart surgery. The medical team is currently conducting pre-operative assessments and necessary investigations to ensure the best possible care for her.
Once these evaluations are completed and the doctors finalize the surgery plan and schedule, we will share the detailed update with you promptly.

Dear Donors/Supporters,
Janani is just 6 years and 4 months old, but her little heart has already gone through more than most of us face in a lifetime. When she was only three months old, her parents rushed her to a clinic because of a severe cold and cough—never imagining that this would be the beginning of a long, painful journey.
A free screening camp at MIOT Hospitals finally gave the answer they feared:
Janani has a hole in her heart (perimembranous VSD) and an abnormal blood vessel arrangement that affects the blood supply to her upper body. Doctors have recommended urgent surgery to close the heart hole and reconnect the isolated artery to the aortic arch.
This surgery costs ₹3,75,000—an amount Janani’s family cannot afford.
Her father, Mr. Vijayaganth, works as a driver earning just ₹16,000 per month, and even that income is uncertain. Some months, he earns less. He works long hours, sometimes skipping meals, just to ensure his family gets through each day. Her mother stays at home caring for the children, as they cannot afford daycare or additional support.
They live a simple life, stretched thin by rent, food expenses, and school fees. There is no space for savings—no emergency funds—nothing to fall back on during a crisis like this. For them, ₹3,75,000 feels like an impossible mountain, even though it is the only path to saving their daughter's life.
Still, what keeps them strong is Janani’s smile—
a smile that hides her breathlessness, her weakness, and the constant discomfort she silently endures.
A smile that every parent wants to protect.
