Saravanan is a bright and hardworking 13-year-old boy from Cuddalore district. A Class 10 student at his local Government school, he is known among his teachers for his dedication and positive attitude. As the eldest child in his family, Saravanan has always been a pillar of strength and support to his father, despite facing many hardships from a young age.

Until recently, Saravanan appeared to be a healthy child with no visible health issues. But during a routine medical check-up at his school, doctors noticed something unusual and referred him to a free cardiac screening camp organized by MIOT Hospitals at the Government Hospital in Vadalur. Further investigations there revealed a shocking diagnosis — Large Sinus Venosus Atrial Septal Defect (ASD) and PAPVD of RUPV to RA, a complex congenital heart defect that can only be corrected through open-heart surgery.

The doctors at MIOT have recommended an elective surgery – Sinus Venosus ASD repair, estimated to cost ₹2,80,000. This surgery is crucial to save Saravanan’s life and help him return to a healthy, active childhood.
Saravanan’s father, Mr. Purushothaman, works in their village setting up microphones and sound systems for local functions and events. His work is irregular, and he earns around ₹1,500 per event, which barely covers the family’s basic needs. Their struggles deepened last year when Saravanan’s mother, Ms. Sathya Rani, tragically passed away due to a cardiac arrest. Since then, young Saravanan has been both a son and a helping hand to his grieving father.

Today, with his own heart condition worsening, this little boy’s future hangs by a thread. His father, already bearing immense emotional and financial burdens, is heartbroken and helpless. But your kindness can change everything.
