Little Roshani, a cheerful 1-year-11-month-old girl from Tiruvallur district, has been battling a congenital heart condition since she was just 3 months old. What began as frequent episodes of severe cold, persistent cough, chest congestion, and an unusual heart sound left her parents deeply worried. They visited several hospitals in search of answers, where doctors suspected that her tiny heart was affected by a serious medical condition.

With the support of the Village Health Nurse, Roshani was referred to a free cardiac screening camp conducted by MIOT Hospitals at the Government Hospital, Tiruvallur. Following a detailed evaluation and further investigations at MIOT Hospitals, doctors diagnosed her with a moderate-sized Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA). To prevent future complications and give her the chance to grow up healthy, they have advised an early PDA device closure procedure.

The estimated cost of her treatment is ₹1,40,000, covering the procedure, ICU care, hospital stay, medicines, investigations, and other essential medical expenses.

Roshani's father, Mr. Nagaraj, works at a vehicle washing shed and earns approximately ₹3,000 per week. As the family's sole breadwinner, his modest income barely covers their everyday household expenses, making it impossible for them to afford the cost of their daughter's life-saving treatment.
