Help Save 3-Year-Old Prabakaran's Heart

Master Prabakaran C, a cheerful 3-year-7-month-old boy from Chennai, has been living with a congenital heart disease since infancy. When he was just three months old, he developed a fever and severe cold, requiring admission to a Government Hospital. Since then, he has been under regular medical care and monitoring.

During a free cardiac screening camp conducted by MIOT Hospitals at Stanley Medical College Hospital, Prabakaran underwent an initial evaluation and was referred to MIOT Hospitals for advanced investigations. After a comprehensive cardiac assessment, doctors diagnosed him with a small to moderate-sized Ostium Secundum Atrial Septal Defect (OS ASD), a congenital heart defect that requires timely treatment to prevent serious complications in the future.

To give Prabakaran the opportunity to lead a healthy and active life, his doctors have recommended an elective ASD device closure at the earliest.

The total cost of the procedure is ₹2,00,000, which includes the device closure procedure, ICU care, hospital stay, medicines, investigations, and other essential medical expenses.

Prabakaran's father, Mr. Christopher, works as an RO service technician and earns approximately ₹18,000 per month. As the sole breadwinner of the family, his income is just enough to meet their everyday household expenses, leaving the family with no means to afford this life-saving treatment for their only child.
