Help 2½-Year-Old Leena Aaroniya Receive the Heart Procedure She Urgently Needs

Little Leena Aaroniya J, aged 2 years and 6 months, from Dharmapuri District, is the youngest of three children in her family. Like every child, Leena deserves a childhood filled with laughter, play, and dreams. But a routine medical evaluation changed everything when doctors discovered that she was born with a congenital heart disease.

Although Leena is currently asymptomatic, doctors have advised that her condition requires timely treatment to prevent serious complications in the future.

Leena was referred to the free cardiac screening camp conducted by MIOT Hospitals at the Government Hospital, Dharmapuri. Following a comprehensive evaluation at MIOT Hospitals, she was diagnosed with a small Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA) with a left-to-right shunt.

To prevent long-term complications and help her lead a healthy life, the treating cardiac team has recommended an elective PDA device closure procedure.

The estimated cost of her treatment is ₹1,40,000, which includes the procedure, ICU care, hospital stay, post-operative investigations, medicines, and all necessary medical care.

Leena's father, Mr. Joseph, works as a painter, earning approximately ₹15,000 per month. As the sole breadwinner of a family of five, his modest income is just enough to meet the family's basic needs. Raising ₹1,40,000 for his daughter's heart procedure is simply beyond their financial capacity.
