Help 8-Year-Old Nithishwaran Get His Life-Saving Heart Surgery

Eight-year-old Nithishwaran has been living with a complex heart defect since before he was born. Today, he needs major heart surgery to give him a chance at a healthier childhood.

Master Nithishwaran is an 8-year-old boy from Dharmapuri District who is currently studying in Class 2 at a Government school.

Nithishwaran’s heart condition was first identified during his mother Ms. Meena’s pregnancy. After his birth at a private hospital, he was referred to different hospitals for further evaluation and treatment. Over the years, his family continued seeking medical care, hoping that their son could one day receive the treatment he needed.

His Heart Condition Was Detected Again at School

During a routine health examination at Nithishwaran’s school, doctors once again identified signs of congenital heart disease. He was referred to Dharmapuri Government Hospital, where he attended a free cardiac screening camp conducted by MIOT Hospitals.

Following the initial screening, Nithishwaran was advised to undergo detailed evaluation at MIOT Hospitals.

After comprehensive investigations, doctors diagnosed him with a complex congenital heart condition involving Pulmonary Atresia, a large malaligned subaortic VSD, restricted ductus arteriosus, and hypoplastic branch pulmonary arteries.

Considering the complexity and severity of his heart condition, the medical team has advised complete repair (ICR) with an RV–PA conduit to correct the defect and improve blood flow between his heart and lungs.

Nithishwaran Needs ₹4,80,000 for His Heart Surgery

The estimated cost of Nithishwaran’s life-saving heart surgery is ₹4,80,000.

For his family, arranging such a large amount is simply beyond their financial capacity.

His father, Mr. Settu, works as a daily wage labourer at construction sites and earns approximately ₹700 on the days he gets work. His employment is seasonal and irregular, leaving the family without a stable monthly income.

As the sole earning member, he is already struggling to manage the family's basic household expenses and his children's education. Despite their efforts, Nithishwaran's parents are unable to arrange the funds required for their son's surgery.
