Mr. Sivarajan and Ms. Petchiammal from Cuddalore district were blessed with their beloved daughter, Kanishka Sri, after 18 long years of marriage. Her birth was nothing short of a miracle — a moment of pure joy and gratitude that filled their lives with new meaning. Now 2 years and 10 months old, Kanishka is the light of their world and the very reason her parents wake up with hope each day.

However, fate had a painful turn in store. When Kanishka was just 3 months old, she fell seriously ill and was taken to multiple hospitals. After numerous tests, doctors diagnosed her with a heart condition called ASD (Atrial Septal Defect). Since then, she has been under continuous treatment and regular medical follow-ups.

Recently, during a free cardiac screening camp at MIOT Hospitals, doctors discovered that Kanishka has multiple ASDs with a left-to-right shunt — a more critical condition requiring immediate surgical closure to prevent future complications. The estimated cost for her surgery is Rs. 2,60,000.

Her father, Mr. Sivarajan, works as a truck driver, earning a modest income of Rs. 15,000 per month. With this limited income and ongoing loan repayments, the family is struggling to meet daily needs, let alone afford this life-saving procedure.

Kanishka is not just their only child — she is the answer to 18 years of prayers, the heartbeat of her parents, and their only hope for the rest of their lives. Losing her is unimaginable for them.
