Master Harish, a 13-year-old boy from Cuddalore district, is a bright Class 9 student studying in a Government school. But behind his innocent smile lies a lifelong battle for survival.

At just 3 months old, Harish began struggling to breathe. What followed changed his life forever — he was diagnosed with a serious congenital heart disease. Since then, his childhood has been filled not with play and joy, but with hospital visits, medications, and constant uncertainty.

His father, Mr. Arumugam, works as a van driver earning only Rs. 12,000 per month. Burdened by financial instability and personal struggles, the family faces immense hardship. Yet, through it all, Harish’s mother, Ms. Gowri, stands strong — fighting every single day to keep her son alive and give him a chance at a normal life.

In 2021, with great hope, Harish underwent a major heart surgery at MIOT Hospitals — a tricuspid valve replacement and mitral valve repair. But his journey did not end there. He later developed severe complications, including prosthetic valve stenosis and heart failure. Despite everything, he continues to fight bravely.

Now, Harish urgently needs a second life-saving surgery — a complex redo procedure involving mitral valve repair and replacement of the tricuspid valve.

Estimated Cost: Rs. 4,50,000

For his family, this amount is simply impossible to afford.

Today, Harish’s life hangs in the balance.
