At just 16 years old, Vishnukumar should be dreaming about his future, focusing on his studies, and enjoying his teenage years. A bright Class 11 student from Chennai, he studies in a Government school with hopes of building a better life for himself and his mother.

But today, Vishnu is fighting a battle no child should ever face.

A year ago, he suffered from rheumatic fever. What seemed like a temporary illness soon turned into something far more serious. During a cardiac screening camp conducted by MIOT Hospitals, doctors diagnosed him with Rheumatic Heart Disease, a life-threatening condition.

Further evaluation revealed a severe complication — critical mitral regurgitation, where his heart is unable to pump blood properly. Doctors have urgently advised mitral valve repair surgery to save his life.

The cost of this life-saving surgery is ₹3,65,000.

For Vishnu’s family, this amount is unimaginable.

His father, Mr. Jaishankar, is no more. His mother, the only earning member of the family, works as a domestic helper and earns just ₹15,000 per month. Despite her tireless efforts, she cannot afford the cost of her son’s treatment.

Every passing day is critical.
