Madhevan Ruthrappa and his wife, Ms. Sampangiamma, come from a small village in Krishnagiri District. They live a simple life, surviving day to day on the little income Mr. Mahadevan earns as a daily-wage loadman. Like any parents, they dreamed of a better future when their baby girl was born on 25.10.2025. She brought light, hope, and new meaning into their humble home.

But that joy was heartbreakingly short-lived.

Just days after her birth, their tiny newborn began struggling to breathe. She was rushed to Hosur Government Hospital and placed on a ventilator. For nearly a month, she fought for her life in intensive care. Every day, her parents stood beside her hospital bed, praying, crying, and hoping for a miracle—helplessly watching their fragile baby battle just to stay alive.

During a free cardiac screening camp at Krishnagiri Government Hospital conducted by MIOT Hospitals, doctors raised serious concerns about her heart. The family was asked to travel to MIOT Hospitals, Chennai, for further tests. What they heard there shattered their world.

Their little girl was diagnosed with Unobstructed Supracardiac Total Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Connection (TAPVC)—a rare and life-threatening congenital heart defect. Doctors explained that her heart is not connected normally, and without urgent corrective surgery, she may not survive.

The only hope is early TAPVC repair surgery.

The estimated cost is ₹4,50,000.

For a family that struggles to afford daily meals, this amount is unimaginable.

Mr. Mahadevan earns just enough to meet basic needs. There are no savings. Every rupee they had is already spent on hospital visits, medicines, and travel. They have borrowed what little they could. Today, they stand with empty hands but full hearts—begging only for a chance to save their baby’s life.

This tiny child has not yet seen the world, felt the warmth of sunlight, or known the comfort of a healthy breath. She deserves the chance to live, to grow, to smile, to run, and to dream.

Without surgery, her chances of survival are extremely limited.
