Dear Donors/Suppoerts,
We are write to you today with a heavy heart to share the story of a two-month-old baby boy, affectionately known as Baby of Kokila, who is currently in a desperate fight for his life. This little one was born to Gowtham, a 20-year-old construction worker, and Kokila, a 19-year-old homemaker. The family hails from the village of Musiri in Namakkal, Tamil Nadu, but they moved to Chennai in search of a better future. They now reside in Ayyapantangal.
When Baby of Kokila was born, his parents were filled with joy at the arrival of their son. However, their happiness quickly turned to heartache when doctors discovered that their baby boy was born with serious congenital heart defects. The diagnosis has been overwhelming for Gowtham and Kokila, who are now facing not only the emotional turmoil of their son’s condition but also the crippling financial burden of his treatment.
Baby of Kokila has been diagnosed with a large posterior muscular ventricular septal defect (VSD), a moderate-sized ostium secundum atrial septal defect (ASD), and severe pulmonary hypertension. The only hope for his survival is an urgent open-heart surgery to close the VSD and ASD, which would correct these life-threatening conditions.
The estimated cost of the surgery, including ICU care, hospital stay, post-operative investigations, and medications, is approximately Rs. 3,50,000.
Gowtham, as the sole provider for his family, earns a modest income of just 800 rupees per day from his work at a construction site. With the high cost of living in Chennai, he is already struggling to meet the basic needs of his family. Kokila, as a young mother, is consumed with worry about her son’s future.
Despite their best efforts, Gowtham and Kokila are unable to afford the life-saving treatment that their baby so desperately needs. Today, we reach out to you—our friends, family, and compassionate community—to ask for your support in raising the funds required for Baby of Kokila's medical treatment.
Your generosity can give this baby boy the chance to grow up and experience the love and life that he so deserves. Any contribution, big or small, will make a significant difference in the life of this young family.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
