Thennaru, an 11-year-old boy from the humble town of Cuddalore, has his whole life ahead of him. Yet, his youthful energy is dampened by a heartbreaking diagnosis: Rheumatic Heart Disease with Severe Mitral Regurgitation. This condition, caused by damage to the heart valves from rheumatic fever, threatens his life and future. 

Doctors at MIOT Hospital have recommended an urgent mitral valve repair surgery to restore his heart's function. The surgery, along with the necessary ICU care, hospital stay, post-operative investigations, and medications, comes with a steep cost of Rs. 3,25,000. This is a burden too heavy for his family to bear.

Thennaru’s father, Mr. Kudiarasu, works as a loadman, earning Rs. 500 a day, while his mother, Ms. Rajapriya, labors tirelessly in the fields, earning Rs. 300 a day. Despite their relentless efforts, their combined income barely covers their household expenses, leaving them unable to afford the critical surgery that could save their son’s life. Their love for Thennaru is boundless, but their financial means are limited.

Understanding the gravity of their situation, we have decided to step in and cover the full cost of Thennaru’s treatment. However, we cannot do it alone. We humbly request your support in raising a portion of the funds needed to give Thennaru the chance at a healthy, happy life.
