Dear Donors/Supporters,
Dananya, a sweet 7-year-old girl from Tiruvallur district, has endured a severe cold and cough for years. Recently, during a cardiac screening camp conducted by the Pediatric Cardiology team at MIOT Hospitals, she was diagnosed with a large Atrial Septal Defect (ASD) and a short postero-inferior rim.
Doctors have advised an elective ASD closure procedure, with the total cost estimated at Rs. 2,60,000/- (covering surgery, ICU care, hospital stay, post-operative investigations, and medications).
Dananya's parents are struggling to meet this financial burden. Her father, a daily wage earner, makes just Rs. 800 per day, and her mother, working as a receptionist, earns Rs. 7,000 per month. Despite their hard work, they cannot afford this critical treatment.
