Help 5-Year-Old Divyashree Undergo Life-Saving Heart Surgery

Divyashree has been living with a heart defect since she was just 2 days old. Today, at the age of five, she needs heart surgery to give her the chance to grow up with a healthier heart.

Divyashree S. is a 5-year-old girl from Tiruvallur district who is studying in Class I at a Government school. While children her age are beginning their school journey and discovering new dreams, Divyashree and her parents have been living with the worry of her heart condition since the first days of her life.

When Divyashree was only two days old, she was diagnosed with congenital heart disease. Since then, her parents have been taking her regularly to Government Stanley Hospital for treatment and follow-up.

Recently, Divyashree was advised to attend a free cardiac screening camp conducted by MIOT Hospitals at Government Stanley Hospital. Following the initial screening, she was referred to MIOT Hospitals for detailed cardiac evaluation.

Further investigations confirmed that Divyashree is suffering from Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF), a serious congenital heart defect. Doctors have now advised Intracardiac Repair Surgery to correct her heart condition.

Her Family Cannot Afford the Surgery

The estimated cost of Divyashree's treatment is ₹3,25,000.

Her father, Mr. Sudhakar, works as a daily-wage construction labourer, earning approximately ₹350 a day when work is available. With no stable income or financial security, arranging ₹3.25 lakh for his daughter's surgery is far beyond what the family can manage on their own.

For five years, her parents have lived with the hope that their little girl's heart could one day be treated. Now that surgery has been advised, their biggest obstacle is simply the cost.
