Urgent Help Needed: Save 17-Year-Old Vetrivel and Support His Struggling Family

Vetrivel, a determined and bright 17-year-old boy from Chennai, has faced immense challenges throughout his life. In 2011, he underwent major surgery to correct Tetralogy of Fallot, a complex congenital heart defect. Now, his fight for life continues as he has been diagnosed with severe pulmonary regurgitation, LPA origin stenosis, and RV dysfunction at MIOT Hospitals.

Doctors have recommended an urgent Pulmonary Valve Replacement, with an estimated cost of Rs. 4,50,000/-, to save his life.

A Family in Crisis

Tragically, Vetrivel lost his father in an accident, leaving his mother as the sole breadwinner. Despite her best efforts, she struggles to provide for the family as she battles her own health issues, which often prevent her from working consistently. The family’s financial condition is dire, with no stable income to meet even their basic needs.

Vetrivel and his younger brother, who are both in the 10th standard at a government school in Sholinganallur, face additional hardships. Due to Vetrivel's prolonged health issues, he has been unable to progress academically at the usual pace, resulting in both brothers studying in the same class. Despite these challenges, Vetrivel scored well in his exams, reflecting his determination and resilience.
