Sharmila is just 8 years old. She lost her father, Mr. Senthil, at a young age, and her mother, Rajkumari, is no longer involved in her life. Since then, her entire world has revolved around her maternal grandfather, Mr. Subramani — a daily wage laborer earning barely ₹400 a day by working in agricultural fields.
With love, resilience, and unmatched dedication, Mr. Subramani has taken on the role of both father and mother. But today, he faces a challenge he cannot overcome alone — the fight to save Sharmila's life.

Sharmila was born with a heart defect that went unnoticed during infancy. It was only when she was four years old, during a routine consultation for fever, that doctors suspected something was wrong. Further tests revealed a congenital heart issue.

Recently, during a medical camp conducted by MIOT Hospital, Sharmila was diagnosed with a small perimembranous Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) — a hole in the wall separating the two lower chambers of her heart. Doctors have advised an elective device closure procedure to correct this defect and prevent future complications that could threaten her life.

The estimated cost for the surgery, including hospital stay, ICU care, post-operative tests, and medications, comes to ₹2,00,000. For a grandfather earning meager daily wages, this amount is impossible to manage.

Despite his own hardships, Mr. Subramani has never given up on Sharmila. Now, he needs your help. Your kindness and support can give this little girl a chance to live a healthy, happy life — and give her grandfather the strength to keep going.
