Master Kabilan, an 11-year-old boy from Cuddalore district, is a bright young soul with the ambition of becoming a District Collector one day. Despite facing life’s challenges, his spirit remains undeterred. However, Kabilan has been battling more than just dreams—he was diagnosed with Rheumatic Heart Disease during a screening camp at MIOT Hospital. His condition includes severe MR, mild MS, mild AR, and NYHA class II, and he has been advised to undergo a crucial surgery for mitral valve repair.

The estimated cost of his surgery, including ICU care, hospital stay, post-operative investigations, and medications, is Rs. 3,25,000.

Kabilan’s situation is especially heart-wrenching. His father tragically passed away due to renal failure, and his mother suffers from mental impairments, leaving her unable to care for him. His grandmother, who works as a maid, has lovingly stepped in to raise him. But her meager income is not enough to cover the overwhelming medical expenses.
