Muhammadhu Raiyaan, a bright and determined 9-year-old in the 4th grade at RCM School in Poonamallee, has been battling a congenital heart defect since birth. Known for his vibrant spirit and intelligence, Raiyaan’s health has suffered greatly due to his heart condition, which has persisted despite initial hopes for natural healing.

Doctors diagnosed Raiyaan with a Secundum Atrial Septal Defect (ASD) with a moderate shunt. Initially, they believed the hole in his heart might close on its own by the age of 5 or 6, but it has not, and now his only chance for recovery is through an urgent Elective ASD Closure procedure. The estimated cost for his surgery, including ICU and hospital stay, as well as post-operative medications, is ₹2,00,000.

Raiyaan’s family faces overwhelming financial constraints. His father, Mr. Shariff, works long hours at a hotel, earning ₹500 a day—barely enough to cover their basic needs, let alone the cost of critical medical care. His mother, Mrs. Ilahi Janibasha, struggles with mental health challenges, adding to the family’s emotional and financial burden.
