Jayaprakash A., a 15-year-old boy from Nagarappadi, Cuddalore district, has faced unimaginable challenges from a very young age. At just 18 months old, he was diagnosed with a serious heart condition, requiring ongoing medical attention. Despite his resilient spirit, his journey has been a constant battle for survival.

A Tragic Loss and Financial Struggles

Jayaprakash’s family endured a devastating loss when his mother, Ms. Susila, passed away from renal failure. Since then, his elder sister has taken on the role of caregiver, stepping up to manage the household. Their father, Mr. Amuthamozhi, works as an agricultural laborer, earning a modest ₹7,000 per month—barely enough to meet their basic needs.

A Glimmer of Hope

Recently, Jayaprakash attended a free cardiac screening camp organized by MIOT Hospitals, where doctors diagnosed him with:

• Double-chambered right ventricle

• Moderate-sized malaligned subaortic RCC prolapse

• Mild AR

The medical team has recommended urgent elective surgery, including:

1. VSD Closure

2. Resection of the RV Muscle Bundle

3. Aortic Valve Repair

The cost of this life-saving surgery is estimated at ₹280,000/-, an amount far beyond the family's means.
