Saranya family belongs to Manaloor village, Sankarankoil. Her mother is a single parent; saranya’s mother is working as cooli for daily wages. She earns 1000 rupees per month, with these earnings she runs her family and also she take care Saranya’s medical expenses.

Saranya was diagnosed with congenital heart disease (CHD Large OS ASD, MOD PAH) three years back. When a camp organized in school by government, she was examined and advices to go for open heart surgery immediately. Saranya mother approached Government Hospital in Madurai, but they don’t have government health scheme. They don’t even have ration card, because, Saranya’s family migrate from one place to another for their survival. Her mother approached the camp organized by Little Moppet Heart Foundation at Kovilpatti Government Hospital; she was examined in the camp and advice for immediate surgery. AS a single parent Saranya’s mother is helpless to save her daughter.
