just 11 years old. An year ago, he was diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia, where body stops producing enough new blood cells. He requires a bone marrow
transplant to get treated.
During last year summer vacation, Shriharan all
of a sudden blacked out and fell down and when his parents took him
to Pediatrician. After taking blood test doctor suggested to take him to
GKNM Hospital, Coimbatore. Following many tests the doctors informed that
Shriharan is diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia.
one day my son got fainted and it turned out to be Aplastic Anemia. In just
one day, our playful son’s life completely changed. From borrowing money
to pay school fee, to now waiting for money to pay for my son's bone marrow transplant, my
life and my son's life got changed "- Says Raja (Father)
When Shriharan was admitted in Apollo, the
doctors really appreciated him because he was strong and bold enough to
tolerate his pain. When the doctors tested Shriharan's elder brother
Yogeshwaran to find donor match, they found that his bone marrow will be 80%
match. Currently, Shriharan is
undergoing treatments and tests to find of his elder brother's bone marrow will
completely match him.
Father Raja worked for daily wages
in farm field and mother is a teacher in a private primary school, belonging to
small village near Salem. The family has now shifted to Chennai for the
treatment and staying at a rented room near hospital to reduce the hospital
" Due to
lack of blood, my son cannot walk normally like other children. We led a simple life in our village. But today,
we are spending nights in hospital for our son's life. It feels so terrible to
watch my son getting injected every 4 hours and how much he is going
