Baby Vedanth. He is just 2 months old.  He is the first born to Sundar and Harini who live in Manali.   Sundar works as a Gym trainer at Manali.

Harini gave birth to twins – born at RSRM.  They were both put on incubator for ten days initially but there was no indication that either of them had a problem.

After discharge, the parents would bring the babies for a weekly check up.  On the third visit, Vedanth seemed to have some breathing problems and the doctors referred them for further examination to Stanley Hospital.

The baby was diagnosed with a congenital heart issue and admitted for ten days at Stanley and has now been referred to MIOT Hospital for surgery.

Vedanth is diagnosed to have Total Anomalous Pulmonary Venous connection – Dual drainage – Cardiac & Supracardiac, Small ASD right to left shunt, Congestive cardiac Failure.

He is advised to undergo early surgery – TAPVC repair for correction of the same.

Estimate Cost – Rs.3,60,000   including surgery, ICU & Hospital stay, Post op investigations and medications
